In the election held on February 18, 2022, Professor Bai Chunxue was elected as the President, while Professor Charles A. Powell (Director of the Respiratory Disease Research Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York), Professor Niels H. Chavannes (Chair of the Disease Management eHealth Applications Strategy at Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands), Professor Christoph Thuemmler (one of the leading experts in the EU-China IoT Cooperation in Germany and China), Professor Pan Yi (Dean of the School of Computer Science and Control Engineering at Shenzhen University of Science and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences), and Professor Chen Rongchang (Vice Director of the National Clinical Research Center for Respiratory Diseases) were elected as Vice Presidents. The establishment ceremony of the Metaverse Medical Association and Alliance and the online academic exchange conference (Figure 3) were held on February 19, 2022, at the AI Tower in Shanghai West Bund.
