- The mission of the association is to provide specialized services for patient care, education, and promotion of Metaverse in Medicine (MM) research and innovation, prevention, prediction, personalized, participatory, and precision medicine, by supporting health services with IAMM technology for international doctors, engineers, and scientists. The alliance not only includes professionals from the medical and IT industries but also includes employees and managers from related companies.
The aims of the association and the alliance are to: (1) promote common interests and friendship among international healthcare professionals; (2) communicate information; (3) exchange experiences; (4) solve health problems; (5) assist patients; (6) publicize award and funding opportunities; (7) encourage communication with other scientists and medical professionals; (8) establish strong international cooperation with researchers, advocate for tobacco use reduction policies, and conduct research on diseases related to cigarette smoke.
The International Association for Metaverse in Medicine and the International Alliance for Metaverse in Medicine will each establish independent websites with columns such as Home, Introduction, Academic, Research, Translation, Service, and Conference. They will also publish professional and popular science books. The purpose is not only to promote academic exchanges and popularization but also to lay a technological foundation for the future development of the Metaverse industry.
In addition, promoting academic development requires relevant platform support and cooperation. Clinical eHealth, an electronic magazine, not only published the definition and consensus of Metaverse in medicine but also published an editorial advocating for the timely adoption of Metaverse technology for health and medical services (Figure 1). As an “electronic magazine,” it is edited, published, and distributed with the support of computer, electronic communication, and network technologies. By dynamically presenting the application of Metaverse technology to health and medicine to readers and actively supporting Metaverse in medicine research, the magazine enables readers to perceive the convenience brought by the promotion and application of Metaverse medicine in a timely and immersive manner.
Currently, the book “The Future is Here – Metaverse in Medicine We Need” (Figure 2) has been published. This is the first international monograph on Metaverse in medicine, which will help to integrate Metaverse technology with IoT for comprehensive perception, reliable transmission, and intelligent processing, for medical research and practice, to provide homogeneous and high-quality services to patients and for public health. Its significance includes establishing the school of Metaverse medicine, improving the theoretical foundation of Metaverse medicine, improving public health through education, popularization, and prevention, and improving medical practice through Metaverse medicine.
